£1.50 single fare for 11-19 year olds with a b_line card
11-19 year olds living in Derbyshire can travel on buses for just £1.50 single with a b_line or b_line2 card.
What is a b_line card?
The b_line is a card for young people under 19 in Derbyshire to get discounts on travel, it can also be used as a library card.
There are 2 types of b_line card:
- an orange b_line1 card for 11-year-olds (in secondary school) up to your 16th birthday
- a purple b_line2 card for 16-year-olds up to 19th birthday
How do I get a b_line card?
b_line cards are no longer issued automatically. If you want a card you must apply online here.
Journeys must start and/or end in Derbyshire. The new card is available to residents of Derbyshire, both Derbyshire County Council and Derby City areas, using the b_line application website.
Tickets below are only available to holders of a b_line1 or 2 card.

Valid on all Stagecoach buses across South Yorkshire, Pontefract, Wakefield, Bawtry, Oldcotes, Blyth, Ranskill, Chesterfield, Killamarsh and as far as Mastin Moor, Hillstown, Heath, Holmewood, Tibshelf, Morton, Mickley, Clay Cross, Kelstedge and Holymoorside.

Child DayRider Gold ticket - 1 day - £6.20
This ticket is available to all children aged 5-15 years old and it is valid for travel on all Stagecoach buses in Derbyshire, South and West Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Gainsborough.
Chesterfield College Silver and Gold MegaRider Passes
Students of Chesterfield College may be eligible for Silver MegaRider and Gold MegaRider passes. These are only available for students at Chesterfield College and are issued by the college, each term. These passes are not sold on bus.
