Stagecoach is one of the largest bus operators in the UK and is playing a leading role in driving passenger growth on public transport across the country.

Strathtay Scottish Omnibuses Limited was a wholly owned subsidiary of Traction Group Ltd.  Stagecoach completed the acquisition of the Traction Group Limited on 14 December 2005, when Strathtay became part of the Stagecoach Group.

Stagecoach Strathtay operates a fleet of 160 vehicles from five locations at Arbroath, Blairgowrie, Dundee, Forfar and Montrose.

Local bus operations cover routes in Angus, City of Dundee and Perthshire. Bus routes link most of the major population centres in the area formerly referred to as Tayside.

Stagecoach Strathtay is committed to providing value for money bus travel offering a range of tickets to suit all our customers.  The first ticket in our multi-million selling adult Megarider range 'Tay Megarider' has been introduced with more tickets in the range to follow soon. Tickets are also available for children, senior citizens and other concessionary pass holders.
 
Training and development is the foundation for delivering the high quality services that Stagecoach Strathtay offers. Drivers with Stagecoach Strathtay will begin working towards an SVQ qualification in the near future.
