Bus operator Stagecoach is supporting the Dover based Happy Walkers Group’s ‘Walk Festival’ by designing posters and providing free promotion on bus routes within the region and on their website.   Alan Sutton founded the Happy Walkers group 2 years ago when he was encouraged to walk more himself as part of his physiotherapy following a heart operation. 

Now the group organises regular walks from Walmer Castle and the Landmark Centre, Deal which vary in length between 4 -12 miles.  People of all ages are invited to join a week of walks from 31^st August until 6^th September, when Alan has designed trips that use the bus from Deal to travel out to locations, such as Sandwich and St Margaret’s Bay, with a picturesque walk back. 

Helen Martin, Regional Marketing Manager at Stagecoach, said that the company was delighted to help promote the happy walkers. “I am sure that many of our passengers in the region will be interested to learn of the events and activities organised by Alan and his volunteers. We are very pleased to help promote the group and their Walk Festival.”
