Victoria Way/Romney Marsh Road

Roadworks in Elwick Road and the Beaver Road roundabout junction with Romney Marsh Road and Victoria Way, continue to affect town centre traffic until November 2008.

Further works will be taking place at the Newtown Bridge, which is closed for 10 months from January 2008.

Delays can be expected with the closure of Forge Lane and West Street, with all traffic being diverted down Regents Place and Apsley Street.

Some Good News!!

Bank Street is due to open in mid July, with traffic being able to use the road again after an absence of 10 months. The buses will be returning back to Bank Street late August, so that the completion of the installation of the Bus Shelters can take place.
