“Frequento, low floor and frequent”, from Stagecoach in Hull is the local brand for our low floor and frequent network of Bus Services throughout Hull.  Launched in April 2006 with eleven brand new low floor double deck Buses, “frequento” has become the catalyst for improving the standard of our fleet in Hull.  The buses all have low floor east access step-less entrances suitable for wheelchairs and buggies. The interiors have a pleasant colourful blue theme with modern comfortable seats and smart red patterned floors.  The exteriors are emblazoned with “frequento” branding, and with the bright clear route numbers and destinations on the front and side you wont miss your “frequento” as it arrives and they arrive very frequently too!!

The first route to benefit from the investment in low floor vehicles was Service 15 between Hull City Centre and Kingswood Retail and Leisure Parks via Spring Bank, Princes Avenue. Cottingham Road(University), Cranbrook Avenue, and Orchard Park.  The service provides a bus every 10 minutes during the main day with a 20 minute service on a Sunday and buses every 30 minutes during the evening. Such was the popularity of the fresh new Service, over 25% more passengers travel on it every day!

Since the first route that was introduced we have launched a further three “frequento” routes. Service 30 between Hull City Centre and North Bransholme, Service 32 between Hull City Centre and  North Point Shopping Centre, and most recently Service 54 between Hull City Centre and Bilton Grange.  All have been as successful as Service 15 in being popular with passengers by providing a quality frequent service with easy access low floor buses. Not only do the help the environment by being a popular alternative to the car, the buses themselves have advanced technology in the engine compartment to reduce their emissions.  During 2008 further improvements to the network will be made as Services 51 in May, followed by Services 1,2,13,14 and then towards the end of the year Service 28 to Sutton Park.
