There will be some important changes to Concessionary Fares from Tuesday 1st April 2008. Passes issued by Hull City Council or East Riding of Yorkshire Council will allow FREE travel nationally on Local Bus Services between 0930 and 2300 Mondays to Fridays and all day Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Hull City Council have decided that holders of passes issued by Hull City Council will be allowed FREE travel when travelling around Hull and also when boarding in Hull to destinations outside of the City, before 0930 and after 2300 Mondays to Fridays in addition to the English National free scheme. East Riding of Yorkshire Council will not allow their pass holders free travel other than at the Nationally agreed times above. However East Riding residents entitled to the National Free Pass can purchase an “Earlybird Pass” for £15 per year. This will entitle them to FREE travel within Hull and East Riding and also to selected destinations outside of the area before 0930 and after 2300 Mondays to Fridays. The English National Free concession will apply to Services X1 to Grimsby/Cleethorpes, Service 350 to Scunthorpe and also Service X62 to Leeds, subject to the validity of an individual pass.
The standard validity of your pass is set nationally by the Government. Any changes outside of the standard scheme are decided locally by Hull City Council.
Holders of an English National Concessionary Passes issued by other local authorities can travel locally between 0930 and 2300 Mondays to Fridays and all day Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
