The Interconnect Bus Walks are a collection of six walks, which are designed using existing walks ways with points of interest. The start and finish of the walks are located near an InterConnect 6 bus stop.
Service InterConnect 6 runs regularly between Skegness and Lincoln serving many interesting villages along route.
Bus Walk One
Wragby – Langton by Wragby – Goltho – Wragby
9 miles circular walk, 4 - 4.5 hours
7 miles shorter route option, 3.5- 4 hours
Good footpaths and bridleways which can be very muddy at times. Some minor road and verge walking.
Refreshments: Cafes, pubs and shops in Wragby

Small Leaved Lime The Lincolnshire Limewoods designated a National Nature Reserve with the greatest concentration of ancient small leaved lime woods in Britain.
St Giles Church, Langton by Wragby An impressive medieval tower dedicated to St Giles, patron saint of cripples, beggars and blacksmiths. Linked to Stephen Langton who arranged the books of the Bible into chapters and was responsible for the Magna Carta.

Bus Walk Two
Horncastle – Fulletby - Hagworthingham
8.5 miles linear walk, 3.5 - 4 hours
3 miles shorter route option, 1.5 - 2 hours
Good footpaths and bridleways which can be very muddy at times. Some minor road and verge walking. Some of the route follows the Viking Way.
Refreshments: Cafes, pubs and shops in Horncastle. Café and pub in Hagworthingham

St Andrew’s Church Look out for the rich greenstone tower of St Andrew’s Church dating back to the 12th century.
Skylark Listen for the warbling song of the Skylark as you walk across the fields.
Hoe Hill from Fulletby Top Believed to have been the site of early prehistoric activities, with a height of 127 metres, is this prominent pre historical feature.
Lincolnshire Wolds An area of outstanding natural beauty the rolling hills of the Lincolnshire Wolds.

Bus Walk Three
Greetham – Hagworthingham – Snipe Dales – Winceby - Scrafield
8 miles circular walk, 4 - 4.5 hours
4 miles 1st half route option, 2 hours
4.5miles 2nd half route option, 2.5 hours
Good footpaths and bridleways which can be very muddy at times. Some minor road and verge walking. One or two steep ascents.
Refreshments: Café and pub in Hagworthingham.
Toilets: Café and pub in Hagworthingham available to patrons only.

Battle of Winceby The Royalists were intercepted by the Parliamentarians as they marched to retake their stronghold at Bolingbroke Castle on the 11 October 1943.
Lincoln Cathedral Can be seen on a clear day from several points along route.
Hare Look out for hares as you cross the fields.

Hundleby – Old Bolingbroke – East Keal – Keal Carr – Hundleby/Spilsby
8 miles circular walk, 3.5 - 4 hours
5.5 miles shorter route option
Good footpaths and bridleways which can be very muddy at times. Some minor road and verge walking. One or two steep ascents.
Refreshments: Pubs in Hundleby and Old Bolingbroke. Cafes, pubs and shops in Spilsby.
Toilets: Market Place in Spilsby.

Bolingbroke Castle The ruins can now been seen as a prime example of a 13th century castle design with a large gateway, round towers and a moat.
St Peter and Paul’s Church A greenstone church built in 1363, restored with the north aisle added in 1989.
Alder Keal Carr is one of the finest examples of alder carr in the southern wolds. Carr being a woodland dominated by alder.
Pheasant This colourful game bird can often be seen in open fields feeding on seed.

St Martin’s Church A delightful 18th century brick church in Welton Le Marsh, built on an earlier medieval chalk base.
English Oak The king of British trees supports more species of insect than any other British tree.
Roman Occupation This walk crosses the line of an important Roman route connecting Lincoln with Norfolk.

Burgh le Marsh – Skegness
5 miles linear walk, 2.5– 3 hours
Good footpaths and bridleways which can be very muddy at times. Some street walking at the beginning and towards the end of the walk.

Points of interest on this route
Bishop Tozer’s Chapel An interesting red brick built in 1867 at a cost of £320, originally combined a ground floor schoolroom with a place of worship above.
Grandsire Bob Burgh Le Marsh’s church tenor bell, used in the hope of saving lives on the Mary Rose when it was searching for the coastline in 1629 when fog blanketed the sea.
