From Sunday 30 March 2008, we will be revising a number of our services in Manchester, Stockport, Tameside and Trafford.
We are introducing many improvements and service enhancements such as extra journeys or longer operating hours. We are also committed to running our services as reliably as possible and will be making some minor adjustments to some services to help with this.

Service Number/Details of changes
Service 15 - the early Saturday morning timetable prior to 0930 hours is amended slightly.
Service 22 - the first three early morning journeys on Mondays to Fridays from Stockport to Bolton are retimed earlier to improve service reliability; please check timetable for full details.
Services 23/23A - will run more frequently in the evenings and on Sundays. The Sunday daytime service on 23A will start earlier and run every half hour. Extra evening buses will run every evening between Stockport and Chorlton Centre to provide a half-hourly service over this section of route.
Service 42 - will have an improved early Saturday morning service with extra journeys introduced from Stockport and East Didsbury towards Manchester and a better spacing of buses towards Stockport from Didsbury Village.
Service 44 - will be taken over by Hayton’s under contract to GMPTE. There are likely to be changes to the timetable – please contact GMPTE for further details.
Service 46 and Service 47 - will be re-routed in West Didsbury to continue along Burton Road to Barlow Moor Road rather than use Nell Lane and Elisabeth Slinger Road, to better serve Withington Hospital. There are no changes to the timetable.
Service 50 - the University term-time extras from Mauldeth Road and Denison Road will no longer operate.
Service 76 - will see significant improvements. Buses will run up to 9 pm on Monday to Saturday evenings between Piccadilly and Failsworth, Day Drive and a half-hourly Sunday daytime service will also be introduced between the same points. An additional journey will run at 0715 from Piccadilly to Oldham on Mondays to Fridays. Low-floor easy access buses will be introduced on most journeys in the near future.
Service 84 - evening journeys are revised to only run as far as Arrowfield Road with journeys towards Manchester leaving Arrowfield Road at 37 minutes past the hour (three minutes later from Chorlton Bus Station). Departures from Piccadilly are unchanged.
Service 85 - is revised to improve service reliability. The evenings and Sundays extension beyond Chorlton Bus Station to Withington Hospital is withdrawn, replaced by an improved service on services 23/23A. On Mondays to Fridays the 0625 and 0650 journeys from Chorlton to Manchester will run five minutes earlier and a new journey is introduced at 0655 from Piccadilly to Chorlton.
Service 86 - is improved with extra journeys introduced from Piccadilly in the early evening on Mondays to Fridays (buses will now run every 7/8 minutes up until 2015 hours) and an improved early morning service in both directions on Mondays to Saturdays
Service 101 - is enhanced to run every 10 minutes during Monday to Saturday daytimes and every 20 minutes during Sunday daytimes. With other services along Princess Parkway, there will be a bus every 5 minutes between Piccadilly and Northenden on Monday to Saturday daytimes and every 10 minutes during Sunday daytimes. The early morning service from Piccadilly is improved every day and a later last bus from Wythenshawe to Manchester is introduced at 2302 on Mondays to Saturdays.
Service 104 - has timetable changes to co-ordinate with other buses along Princess Parkway to provide a bus every 5 minutes between Piccadilly and Northenden on Monday to Saturday daytimes and a bus every 10 minutes during Sunday daytimes.
Service 105 - has timetable changes to co-ordinate with other buses along Princess Parkway to provide a bus every 5 minutes between Piccadilly and Northenden on Monday to Saturday daytimes and a bus every 10 minutes during Sunday daytimes.
Service 109 - has timetable changes to co-ordinate with other buses along Princess Parkway to provide a bus every 5 minutes between Piccadilly and Northenden on Monday to Saturday daytimes and a bus every 10 minutes during Sunday daytimes. The Sunday journeys previously run by Finglands will now be operated by Stagecoach to a new timetable.
Service 111 - has a revised evening timetable to improve service reliability with a later last bus from Piccadilly introduced. Evening buses will leave Piccadilly at 20/50 minutes past the hour with the last bus at 2350 hours (2320 hours on Sundays). Evening buses towards Manchester will leave Southern Cemetery at 25/55 minutes past the hour with the last bus at 2255 hours (2225 hours on Sundays).
Service 201 - this service is improved to run every 8 minutes during Monday to Saturday daytimes. The timetable has also been revised to improve service reliability. Evening buses will run through to Hattersley on a trial basis, running an anti-clockwise loop on the estate, following the normal daytime route as far as Underwood Road then left on to Stockport Road and left on to Mottram Road to return directly to Manchester. Evening buses will leave Piccadilly at 01/31 minutes past the hour with the last two buses at 2331 and 0001 only going as far as Hyde. The last departure from Hyde to Hattersley will be at 2333. On Sundays all last buses are half an hour earlier. The weekend night service is revised to offer journeys at 0015, 0115 and 0215 from Piccadilly to Hyde on Friday nights/Saturday mornings and Saturday nights/Sunday mornings.
Service 203 - this service is improved to run every 8 minutes during Monday to Saturday daytimes. The timetable has also been revised to improve service reliability. An earlier trip in to Manchester is introduced at 0503 from South Reddish, Sandy Lane on Mondays to Fridays.
Service 204 - evening departures from Piccadilly will now be 10 minutes earlier at 21 and 51 minutes past the hour. There is no change to the times of buses towards Manchester.
Service 205 - buses will move to Stop EQ in Piccadilly (the stop in front of the 192 stop) to reduce congestion on the current stop.
Service 206 - the 0713 journey from Gee Cross will run 5 minutes earlier, leaving at 0708. Buses will move to Stop EQ in Piccadilly (the stop in front of the 192 stop) to reduce congestion on the current stop.
Service 219 - has extra journeys added on Saturday mornings to cater for an increase in demand. The first trips in each direction will run five minutes earlier.
Service 250 - additional journeys are introduced on Mondays to Fridays from Piccadilly to the Trafford Centre at 0715 and 0730 (replacing the current 0720 trip) and 0800. In addition the mid-evening service is improved every day except Sundays so that buses continue to run every 15 minutes until after 8 pm from the Trafford Centre.
Service 255 - some minor timetable changes are being made to early morning and early evening journeys to improve service reliability. Some early morning journeys from Piccadilly will run a few minutes earlier.
Service 256 - some minor timetable changes are being made to improve service reliability. In the evenings buses will leave Piccadilly ten minutes later with a later last bus introduced at 2310. Evening buses will leave Flixton, Town’s Gate at 26/56 minutes past the hour with the last bus at 2326. The early Sunday morning service is also improved.
Service 325 - minor timetable changes are being made to early evening journeys to improve service reliability. Departure times from Stockport remain unchanged.
Service 370 and Service 371 - minor timetable changes are being made to some morning peak journeys in both directions following customer feedback and to improve service reliability. Please check the new timetable for full details.
