Stagecoach Northwest has welcomed the millionth passenger on board its Citi network on Tuesday 12 February.

To celebrate this milestone, Stagecoach Northwest presented millionth passenger Sam Hodgson from Bamber Bridge with a 'Golden Ticket', entitling her to a year’s free travel on all Stagecoach services throughout Lancashire. Sam is a regular commuter on the Preston Citi network.

No one could argue that the launch of the Citi services has not had an impact since their introduction in summer last year.  But passengers have been quick to utilise the expanded services, throughout the city, and the unprecedented demand has led to a growth in the Stagecoach fleet since the Citi network was introduced.
