We are committed to offering high quality bus services to people in Preston and we are pleased the Traffic Commissioner has accepted the joint proposal by Stagecoach, Preston Bus and Lancashire County Council for a detailed Code of Practice covering bus operators in the city.
Stagecoach has a long tradition of public service within Preston and Lancashire, investing millions of pounds in new vehicles, higher frequency services and excellent value fares, and we will continue to do all we can to raise the standard of bus provision.
We hope the conclusion of the inquiry draws a line under recent events and means we can all concentrate on our common aim of encouraging more people to get on board public transport. We look forward to providing the best possible bus service in Preston for all our customers, alongside those provided by our competitors.
