From Thursday 3rd January 2008, Cumbria County Council will introduce a new traffic scheme, which will involve the closure of Botchergate to all traffic, between the hours of 2100 and 0500 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

Routes affected are: 60/60A, 61/61A, 66, 67/68, 72, 76 & 104.

These services will have to operate via Victoria Viaduct, James Street, Currock Street & Crown Street.

As a result, customers should use the following bus stops during the closure:

• Northbound customers will need to use the bus stop on Devonshire Street.
• Southbound customers will need to use the bus stop on The Crescent.
