Stagecoach will run its vintage open top bus on some journeys in the Nene Valley later this month.
Occasional appearances by the 42 year old bus have always been popular, now the company has released details of it’s whereabouts on special dates in August.

Oundle and Back, Anti-clockwise circle
0950 from Queensgate bus station, route 23 through Ailsworth, Stibbington, Wansford, Yarwell, Nassington, Apethopre, Kings Cliffe, Woodnewton, Fotheringhay, Tansor and Cotterstock to Oundle.1100 from Oundle, route 24 through Warmington, Elton, Alwalton back into Peterborough at 1136.

1240 from Queensgate bus station, route 24 to Oundle.1315 from Oundle, route 23 back into Peterborough at 1428.

Thrapston and Back
0830 from Queensgate bus station, route 24 through Alwalton, Elton and Warmington to Oundle then a circle to Barnwell, Thorpe Waterville, Tichmarsh, Thrapston, Islip, Aldwincle, Wadenhoe, Pilton and Stoke Doyle to Oundle, continues back to Peterborough arriving at 1036 1140 from Queensgate bus station, route 24 as above to Oundle then the opposite way round the villages back to Oundle and home to Peterborough arriving at 1336.
These journeys are part of the regular local bus service that runs Monday to Saturday throughout the year. The scenery is quite spectacular as we meander along country lanes through villages and join the locals on their way into market.*

Adult £5, Family (1 adult and up to 2 children) only £5.50.
The open top vintage bus will be used subject to it’s availability (a vintage bus can have off days!).
Under these circumstances a conventional bus will be used.
