Stagecoach Bluebird would like to advise customers of some service changes from the 12th March 2012.
The following services will be affected: Coastrider, 59/N59, 10, X17, 18/218, 93, 200, 201/202/203, 220, 260/261, 262, 267/X67, 268/X68, 269, 286, 292, 305/325, 727.
Routes 7/7A/X7/8 (CoastRider)
Slight changes to running times during the peak periods to improve the reliability to and from Aberdeen.
Route 10
Following customer comments and the increase in frequency on Service 727, the Sunday timetable will be revised and Service 10 buses will no longer serve the Airport on Sundays.
Route 40
A new service from Kingswells Park and Ride to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary which has been timed to coincide with the start and finish of daytime nursing shifts, buses depart Kingswells at 6.05am and 6.22am, arriving at 6.25am and 6.42am respectively. The evening journeys leave ARI at 7.15pm and 7.32pm, arriving at the Park and Ride at 7.35pm and 7.52pm respectively.
Route X17
Slight changes to running times during the peak periods to improve the reliability to and from Aberdeen.
Routes 18/218
Due to ongoing heavy losses on the service, the number of journeys in operation will be cut back to operate broadly every 2 hours on Mondays to Saturdays. School journeys between Kingswells and Westhill Academy will continue to operate.
Routes 59/N59
Some journeys in the morning and afternoon peak hours will run at revised times to cope with traffic in the Market Street area. The service will continue to run every 10 minutes during the daytime on Mondays to Saturdays. After a year of operation and due to low usage the N59 is withdrawn after operation on the night of Saturday the 10th March.
Route 93
As a result to the ending of Aberdeen City Council funding Service 93 will be withdrawn after operation on Friday 09 march 2012.
Route 200
A new service operating several journeys each weekday between Aberdeen and Banchory and serving Westhill business park.
Routes 201/202/203
The service will be slightly revised in the morning peak hours with extra journeys added from Aberdeen to Banchory and a more even headway between Banchory and Aberdeen. The pattern of journeys is also simplified and an additional Sunday morning trip from Aberdeen to Banchory introduced.
Route 210
The weekday timetable will be revised slightly to connect with Service 200 at Westhill, on Saturdays the 0710 from Ballater will be replaed by Service 201.
Route 213
This Service will be withdrawn and replaced by a diversion on Service 202.
Route 220
Due to low useage, the 1704 from Kemany Bremnar Way to Aberdeen on Saturdays will be withdrawn.
Routes 260/261
260/1/3 Slight changes to some departure times to improve reliability to/from Aberdeen.
Route 262
Due to low usegae the short working off peak journeys between Aberdeen and Balmedie will be withdrawn Monday to Saturday, an additional journey in the evening peak will operate between Aberdeen and Ellon at 1735, in addition there are also minor alterations to buses between Ellon and Aberdeen during the peak periods to improve relilability.
Routes 267/X67 and 268/X68
Slight changes to some departure times to improve reliability to/from Aberdeen.
Route 292
Minor alteration to one journey, the 1706 from Ellon Park & Ride will now depart at 1717 to improve reliability.
Routes 305/325
An additional trip departing Oldmeldrum at 0655 each weekday will operate to Aberdeen and then on to the Robert Gordon’s University arriving at 0822. An extra journey will depart RGU each weekday at 1535, departing Aberdeen, Union Square at 1555. Journeys in to Aberdeen will now arrive at 0635, 0720, 0801, 0821 and 0841 in the morning peak hours.
Route 727
Due to increasing customer demand, Service 727 will incease in frequency, during weekdays the frequency will increase to operate every 20 minutes between the City Centre and Aberdeen Airport, the evening frequency will also increase to every 30 minutes, on Saturdays the daytime frequency will increase to every 30 minutes, evening services will operate hourly, on Sundays the daytime and evening frequency between the City Centre and Aberdeen Airport will increase from hourly to every 30 minutes.
The following changes will be made in the Peterhead area-
Routes 1A, 1C & 1E
New circular services with the 1A running Anti-clockwise and the 1C Clockwise, serving Ugie Road, the new Waterside Road area, Asda, Berryden Road, Meethill Road Shops, the Health Centre, Chapel Street and the Transport Interchange. The service replaces the 283 and the 1A and 1C both operate every 30 minutes. The Abernethy Road area is now served hourly by service 4. 1E is an evening and Sunday variant of service 1A/1C, running every hour in a one way loop serving Ugie Road, the new Waterside Road area, Asda, Richmond Avenue, Windmill Road and back via Ugie Road to the centre of Peterhead.
Route 2
This replaces Service 281 and runs every 30 minutes to Aalesund Road terminus via Dales Court and returns to Town Centre via School Road. Daytime trips to Meethill Road and Berryden Road Shops are now part of Services 1A and 1C. Evening and Sunday service to Meethill Road and Berryden Road Shops are now operated by the 3A.
Services 1A/1C and 2 combine to give a 15 minute frequency between the centre of Peterhead and the Meethill area.
Route 3
Service renumbered from 280, still serving Bodham every 30 minutes, with slight changes to departure times. 3A is an evening and Sunday variant of service 3 running every hour, also serves Dales Court and Berryden Road Shops.
Route 4
Service renumbered from 284 and now serves the Abernethy Road area previously served by the 283, although this is extended to Kinmundy Road.
Route 269
This service Continues to operate to Fraserburgh every hour, but now operates along Windmill Road and West Road to/from Peterhead.
Route 286
Continues to operate to Mintlaw and Stuartfield, but now serves Richmond Avenue, Windmill Road and Balmoor Terrace to/from Peterhead.
The maximum single fare within the main part of the town is just £1.40 for an adult or 70p for a child, with a single to Bodham costing £1.80 for an adult and 90p for a child. Dayrider tickets are available from the driver and provide unlimited travel within the town for a day for only £2.50, whilst a weekly Megarider ticket for the same area is just £7. Tickets for 4 weeks, 13 weeks and a year are available on line and are priced at £27, £85 and £315, giving daily travel within Peterhead from only 80p a day!!
