Stagecoach East Scotland would like to advise passengers that many bus services across Perth & Kinross will change from Monday 13th August 2012, largely as a result of changes to Perth & Kinross Council contracted services which the Council subsidise. A summary of the changes is provided below, with new timetables now available on our website.
Service 3: Perth City Centre – Goshen – Catmoor – Old Scone
A revised route will be introduced in Perth city centre, with buses operating via Tay Street, High Street, George Street, Mill Street and South Street. There will be some minor changes to the timetable, including the withdrawal of the Friday and Saturday evening journeys.
Service 11: Perth City Centre – Kinnoull Hill
A revised route will be introduced, with buses operating via Tay Street, High Street, George Street, Mill Street and South Street in Perth city centre and additionally serving Murray Royal Hospital. There will be some minor changes to the timetable, including the withdrawal of the Friday and Saturday evening journeys.
Service 12: Gannochy – Perth City Centre – Viewlands
A revised route and timetable will be introduced, with buses operating via Tay Street, High Street, George Street and Mill Street in Perth city centre and additionally serving Perth Royal Infirmary and Riggs Road. Although the basic hourly timetable will be maintained buses will alternately serve either Gannochy or Bowerswell Memorial Homes, resulting in a 2 hourly frequency at these locations.
Service 13: Perth City Centre – PRI – Perth Mart
A revised route and timetable will be introduced incorporating an improved hourly frequency. The route will be revised in Perth city centre to operate via King Street, South Methven Street, Mill Street and Scott Street. Tullylumb Terrace and Taymount Terrace will no longer be served, with buses now operating direct via Rose Crescent to/from the Royal Infirmary.
Service 14: Perth – Almondbank - Pitcairngreen
The 1530 Perth – Pitcairngreen – Perth journey will operate 5 minutes later on Monday to Friday, and the 2153 Perth – Pitcairngreen – Perth journey will be withdrawn on Monday to Saturday.
Service 15: Perth – Crieff – Comrie
On Saturdays the 2356 Crieff to Perth journey will be withdrawn, and on Sundays the 2020 Crieff to Perth journey will be withdrawn. However an additionally journey will operate on Sundays at 1820 from Crieff to Perth.
Service 16/16A/16B: Perth – Errol – Inchture – Longforgan – Dundee
There will be some minor adjustments to the route and timetable during the day, with certain eastbound 16A journeys serving Walnut Grove road end instead of Glendoick turning circle. On Monday to Saturday evenings there will be a reduction in the number of journeys, and the Sunday evening journeys will be withdrawn.
Service 17: Gleneagles – Dunning – Kintillo – Perth
The route of this service will be revised to serve Aberuthven, with minor changes to the timetable between Gleneagles and Dunning as a result.
Service 23: Aberfeldy – Ballinluig – Dunkeld – Bankfoot – Perth
There will be some changes to the timetable of this service, particularly around school start and finish times, with some additional journeys to Aberfeldy in the morning and from Aberfeldy in the afternoon. Some schooldays only journeys will operate via Dalguise as service 23D, partially replacing withdrawn service 99.
Service 24: Ballinluig – Pitlochry circular
The Friday evening journeys will be withdrawn.
Service 27: Pitlochry – Ballinluig – Dunkeld – Bankfoot – Perth
An additional journey numbered 27X will operate at 1900 (or 1905 on Sats) from Pitlochry to Perth via Bankfoot only. The 2015 Perth to Pitlochry and 0005 Pitlochry to Inveralmond journeys on Friday night/Saturday morning will be withdrawn.
Service 28: Pitlochry – Ballinluig - Aberfeldy
This service will be withdrawn.
Service 34/34A: Blairgowrie – Spittalfield – Stanley – Luncarty – Perth
The 1150 & 1350 Blairgowrie to Perth and 1055 & 1255 Perth to Blairgowrie journeys will be revised to serve Essendy Bridge, operating as service 34B. The 1535 Perth to Stanley and 1600 Stanley to Perth journeys will be withdrawn on Monday to Friday, however a new schoolday journey will be introduced at 1610 from Stanley X to Perth. The 0705 Murray Royal Hospital to Spittalfield Saturday journey will be revised to commence from Mill Street at 0710.
Service 35: Cupar – Newburgh – Bridge of Earn – Perth
As a result of passenger requests the 0720 Perth Royal Infirmary to Cupar journey will depart at 0715 and operate 5 minutes earlier to Newburgh, then to the existing times between Newburgh and Cupar.
Service 36: Glenrothes – Newburgh – Bridge of Earn – Perth
The route of this service will be revised with most off-peak journeys now serving Drummond Crescent in Perth. A revised timetable will also be introduced to improve reliability, with the majority of journeys retimed by up to 10 minutes. On Monday to Friday the 1525 Glenrothes to Newburgh and 1619 Newburgh to Glenrothes journeys will be withdrawn, however as a result of passenger requests, new journeys will operate at 1605 from Glenrothes to Abernethy and 1657 from Abernethy to Glenrothes.
Service 47: Crieff – Dunblane – Bridge of Allan – Stirling
The 2035 Crieff to Dunblane, 2119 Dunblane to Crieff, 2158 Crieff to Stirling and 2308 Stirling to Crieff journeys will be withdrawn on Saturdays. The 1820 Crieff to Stirling and 1930 Stirling to Crieff journeys will be withdrawn on Sundays.
Service 51: Perth Royal Infirmary – Scone – Stormontfield
This Tuesdays and Thursdays only service will be withdrawn.
Service 53A/53B: Coupar Angus – Inchture – Walnut Grove - Perth
There will be some minor changes to the timetable of this service, incorporating some additional journeys between Perth and Walnut Grove.
Service 54B: Walnut Grove – Perth
This service will be withdrawn, with alternative options provided by services 16/16A and 53A/53B.
Service 56: Kelty – Kinross – Bridge of Earn – Perth
The route of this service will be revised within Perth to no longer serve Drummond Crescent, which will instead be served by service 36. A one way loop will be introduced in the Kelty area with most buses operating direct via the B996 to Station Road, Kelty Cross, Main Street and then either Black Road or Maryburgh to return to the B996. Journeys continuing to Cowdenbeath will continue to operate via the present route through Kelty. The timetable will therefore be revised slightly to improve reliability, although the 56B school day journeys between Kelty and Kinross High School will be withdrawn.
Service 58/58A: Blairgowrie – Guildtown – Perth
The 1025 Perth to Blairgowrie and 1330 Blairgowrie to Perth journeys will be revised on Monday to Friday to serve Golf Course Road in Blairgowrie, operating as service 58B.
Service 59: Blairgowrie – Coupar Angus – Dundee
A revised timetable will be introduced on this service to improve reliability, with off-peak journeys operating to/from Blairgowrie, Wellmeadow only, instead of Rattray.
Service 60: Blairgowrie – Butterstone – Dunkeld
The off-peak journeys on this service will be revised to operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays between Blairgowrie and Dunkeld. The journeys between Blairgowrie and Aberfeldy will be withdrawn, although the school day journeys between Butterstone and Blairgowrie will continue unchanged.
Service 62: Blairgowrie – Essendy Bridge – Dunkeld
This service will be withdrawn and partially replaced by new service 34B, which will provide journey options on Mondays to Saturdays.
Service 66: Glenrothes – Burnside – Kinross
The 0852 Kinross to Glenrothes school day journey will now commence from Burnside at 0905, as it currently does on school holidays. The 1445 Glenrothes to Kinross school day only journey will be withdrawn, with the 1355 Glenrothes to Burnside journey now operating 30 minutes later at 1425. The return journey will operate at 1500 to Auchtermuchty on school days, and at 1505 to Glenrothes on school holidays.
Service 71: Blairgowrie – Bridge of Cally – Spittal of Glenshee/Tarvie
A revised Saturday timetable will be introduced providing three journeys in each direction between Blairgowrie and Spittal of Glenshee throughout the year. On Tuesday and Thursday the 1222 journey from Blairgowrie to Tarvie will now operate 2 minutes earlier at 1220.
Service 87: Pilochry – Blair Atholl
This Friday evenings only service will be withdrawn.
Service 99: Aberfeldy – Dalguise – Dunkeld
This Tuesday and Saturday only service will be withdrawn, but will be partially replaced by new service 23D operating between Aberfeldy and Perth (Inveralmond) via Dalguise and Dunkeld on school days only.
Service 201: Glenrothes – Milnathort – Kinross
A revised timetable will be introduced on this service in order to improve reliability, and one journey in each direction will serve Glenlomond village.
Service 202: Glenrothes – Kinross High School
This school service will no longer be operated by Stagecoach.
Service 204: Blairingone – Kinross High School
The schoolday only journeys on this service will be withdrawn, however the Wednesday and Saturday service between Dollar and Vane Farm will continue unchanged.
Service 301: Perth (Broxden Park & Ride – City Centre)
The Park & Ride service between Broxden and Perth city centre will be operated by Stagecoach. A revised timetable will be introduced operating every 15 minutes between 0700 and 1900 on Mondays to Saturdays.
Service 333: Perth Royal Infirmary – Ninewells Hospital – Royal Victoria Hospital
The evening and weekend journeys on this service will be withdrawn, along with the 0610 Ninewells to PRI journey on Mondays to Fridays. Services 16/16A/16B will continue to provide alternative travel options at these times.
