Users of a Sheffield bus service have been given a boost with a popular route increasing its service.
Stagecoach Yorkshire’s 120 service, which links Halfway, Sheffield city centre and Fulwood, will, from 1 September, run every five minutes instead of every 10 between Crystal Peaks and the City Centre.
Paul Lynch, Stagecoach Yorkshire’s managing director, said: 'The 120 service is a popular route with commuters and shoppers and the improved frequency will enhance the service, making it even more convenient for our passengers.'
Stagecoach carries out appraisals of services throughout the year and the change to the 120 is one of several adjustments made by Stagecoach Yorkshire to benefit passengers across South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire.
Mr Lynch added: 'The changes to this service come on the back of passenger feedback. The appraisal gives us an opportunity to assess all our services from a point of view of reliability and passenger use and then make changes where we think they will improve our operation.'
