Growth has been achieved through continued investment, close working partnerships, the introduction of new products and services and through a number of improvements to existing routes. We have invested heavily in low floor easy access buses which feature step-free entrances, room for buggies and wheelchair access. These vehicles are dedicated to specific routes and provide high quality, high frequency services.

As well as improving routes, Stagecoach is committed to providing value for money bus travel offering a range of tickets to suit all our customers including our great value Megarider weekly tickets. Tickets are also available for children and families. Throughout the year, we have run special offer campaigns and sent out discount vouchers to promote our best value tickets to existing and potential new customers.

We also continue to work with local authorities and other operators to improve ticket options for those customers that use buses provided by a variety of companies. A great example is the Solent Travel Card covering Portsmouth and South Hampshire.

Training and development is the foundation for delivering the high quality services that Stagecoach South offers. Nearly a third of our drivers and 25% of mechanical and engineering staff with the company either hold or are working towards an NVQ qualification.
