Children up to 15 years old can travel at reduced rates on Stagecoach South buses. However, as our drivers often find it difficult to judge the age of teenagers, we highly recommend that 14 & 15 year olds apply for one of our free DISCOUNT ID cards to show drivers that they qualify for child fares. Without the ID card full fare may be charged at the driver's discretion.
The DISCOUNT ID card is issued free on production of an application form and passport sized photograph. It lasts until the end if the school year of your 16th birthday. It is also available to younger children on request.
The application form will need to be stamped by your school. Alternatively, your parent or guardian can get the card for you by popping into one of our travel shops with proof of your age. (The 'Contact Us' section of this website shows a full list of travel shops.)
To print off an application form click on the download button below. You can also collect one from a Stagecoach travel shop or call 0845 121 0190 to request a copy. Once completed, the form can be taken to any of our travel shops or posted to the FREEPOST address on the form.
