Five Bus drivers from Stagecoach’s Chichester depot are the latest to gain their NVQ level 2 for Transporting Passengers by Road, issued by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority after an average of 6 months of studying, practical training and assessments.
So far 41 of the 92 drivers at the depot have taken the voluntary course provided by Stagecoach as a way of enhancing their driving and people skills.
Rob Patterson, Operations Manager for Stagecoach in Chichester says that he is delighted that so many of the drivers have embraced the NVQ training.
“It is all about striving to provide a high standard of service and care for our customers and the NVQ courses help individuals to develop their skills,” said Rob Patterson. “We now have many others from the driving team who are following their example.”
