The Highways Agency will be carrying out refurbishment works on the Arundel railway bridge on the A27 (West Sussex).

Due to the nature of the work, the A27 over the railway bridge will be closed in both directions on the following weekends whilst works are carried out:

2000 Friday 12th September until 0600 Monday 15th September

2000 Friday 26th September until 0600 Monday 29th September

2000 Friday 10th October until 0600 Monday 13th October 

2000 Friday 17th October until 0600 Monday 20th October

2000 Friday 31st October until 0600 Monday 3rd November

It is anticipated that works will be completed over the first three weekends, however the last two weeks have been put into the programme to allow for any complications or delays.

As a consequence of these works and to ensure Coastliner 700 maintains the published timetable, all Arundel bound journeys will run only as far as Crossbush services (McDonalds). The return journey will start at Calceto Farm stop.

A shuttle bus service will be in operation between Littlehampton (Anchor Springs)  & Arundel (Jarvis Road & Town Centre), which will run via Ford, to avoid the roadworks.  We hope to run this service hourly, however, this will be dependant on traffic congestion as all A27 traffic is being diverted along this route.  A copy of the shuttle bus timetable is attached.
