Phase 2 – Aldermaston Road Roundabout 

From first bus on Monday 6 October 2008, the closure will move from the East to the WEST Bridge. 

This will mean diversions for routes 2, 5, 9, 32 and 45 – onto Ringway North to the roundabout adjoining the A339, Kingsclere Road.  This will be in place until approximately 19 October, and will be accompanied by evening closures of several of the on and off slips to the roundabout. 

Details of how each route will be affected are as follows.

• Jazz2 – will serve all scheduled stops in both directions, but will divert along the Ringway and back when travelling towards Baughurst.  It is hoped that delays will be kept to a minimum, but please be patient should traffic congestion occur at peak times.
•  Route 5 – Buses will divert along the Ringway and back when heading to the Hospital and will be unable to serve Abbey Road/Popley Way in this direction.  Buses will observe their original scheduled times and route on their return to the Town Centre/Buckskin/Kempshott Park.  (Please note that the temporary timetable in place from 22 September will be cancelled)In addition, buses will be unable to serve Abbey Road/Popley Way in all directions after 7pm on 6,10,13,16 & 17 October.  On these evenings, buses will depart the Hospital 4 minutes later than scheduled and operate direct to Oakridge Road. 
• Route 9 – will divert along the Ringway and back on journeys towards the Town Centre from Chineham Centre/Popley.  It is hoped that delays will be kept to a minimum, but please be patient should traffic congestion occur at peak times.        
• Route 32 - will divert along the Ringway and back on journeys towards Newbury.  It is hoped that delays will be kept to a minimum, but please be patient should traffic congestion occur at peak times. 
• Route 45 - will divert along the Ringway and back on journeys towards Sherborne St. John/Bramley.  It is hoped that delays will be kept to a minimum, but please be patient should traffic congestion occur at peak times.
