From Monday 6th October 2008, roadworks will commence from Fratton Bridge through to St Marys Road due the replacement of Gas mains.

From the same date, work will start on laying an electrical main to premises in Arundel Street.

The Gas work is programmed for a period of 67 days whilst the electrical installation should take up to two weeks.

At some stage, route 21 will run a diversion via Holbrook Road & Lake Road in either direction , but this should be for one day only.

As a consequence of these works, servere traffic delays are likely, especially at peak times.
