Special bus services on Great North Run Day | 29 August 2008
On Sunday 5 October 2008, special Services 552 and 553 will operate between the finish line and Newcastle, Heworth and South Shields Ferry. Also, due to the many temporary road closures associated with the Great North Run, Stagecoach buses within South Shields will also be temporarily revised.

Temporary resurfacing in Gateshead Interchange from Monday 1 September 2008 for around 6 weeks | 29 August 2008
We have been advised that there will be temporary road closures within Gateshead Interchange, to allow for road resurfacing. These works will commence on Monday 1 September 2008, and last for up to 6 weeks. As a result of these closures, QuayLink Service Q1 and Service X34 will need to use temporary stops: - From 1 September 2008 until works are completed, Quaylink Service Q1 will be relocated to Jackson Street (Temporary Stand Y) and will omit the Interchange.
- From 13 October 2008 (approx), QuayLink Service Q1 will continue to use temporary Stand Y, and Service X34 will temporarily move to Stand K (which is the second last stop on the south side of the interchange).
Once all works are complete, buses will revert to their normal stands. Stagecoach apologise for any inconvenience these temporary changes may cause, which is due to circumstances beyond our control.
Temporary closure of Coronation Street on Sundays 14 and 21 September 2008 | 26 August 2008
We have been advised that Coronation Street will be closed on Sundays 14 and 21 September 2008. These works are to allow South Tyneside Borough Council to resurface the road. As a result of this closure, Services 17 and 18 will not be able to use Coronation Street, and will instead terminate on Church Way/Chapter Row. Stagecoach apologise for any inconvenience this temporary change may cause, which is due to circumstances beyond our control.
