From Sunday 27 July 2008, a number of Stagecoach in South Shields bus services will be changing. These revisions have been carefully designed to reflect changing travelling patterns and will provide a more co-ordinated service for customers.

Details of the revised services are shown below (to view the new timetable, please click on relevant blue service number):

Services 3 & 4: Evening and Sunday journeys on these services will both operate approximately 15 minutes later.  

Services 7 & 8: To improve access to the town centre, Service 7 journeys will observe the same eastbound stops as Service 8 along Chapter Row, Keppel Street and Fowler Street. 

Services 10, 11, 13 & 14: To improve reliability, there will be a revised timetable. Services 10 and 11 will also be withdrawn between Low Simonside - Stanhope Road - South Shields. To improve access to Simonside Metro, Services 13 and 14 will run via the whole length of Wenlock Road. Services 13 and 14 will also be revised to serve Landseer Gardens turning circle during Monday to Saturday daytimes (replacing Service 16). Revised Services 10 and 11 will provide alternative all-day facilities to Gainsborough Avenue.  

Services 16 & 17: To improve the co-ordination of journeys along Stanhope Road, Service 17 will be increased to operate every 10 minutes during Monday to Saturday daytimes, with Service 16 journeys being withdrawn  

Service 18: Most journeys will be slightly retimed. However, buses will continue to operate every 10 minutes during Monday to Saturday daytimes, and every 30 minutes during the evening and on Sundays.

Services 12, 30, E1, E2, E6, X20 and X34 continue to operate unchanged.
