Stagecoach Supertram joined in the celebrations for Bonfire Night by sponsoring Sheffield’s very popular "After Dark" event.  After Dark takes place in the Don Valley grass bowl which is on the yellow route of the Supertram system, just by the HallamFM Arena and the new sports and iceskating centres.

Supertram vehicles and staff were on hand to provide almost 5000 extra passengers with journeys to or from the ground and although trams were full to the seams everyone was able to make their way home after the show without delay.

Carl Williams, General Manager of Supertram was at the event, keeping a watchful eye on the movement of the crowd, he said "A dry, Friday night brought many local people to this year’s After Dark, and although some of these people endured a very busy journey to the ground from the City, it is a credit to planning and communication of Supertram staff that the tramway ran so promptly and smoothly throughout".
