Bus travel is now even greener....

Unibus runs up to every 8 minutes between the University of Kent and Canterbury City Centre, via Canterbury East Rail Station. Click here to view the timetable

The buses on the Unibus route are brand new bio-buses which run on 100% biofuel, a sustainable fuel source manufactured from refining used cooking oil and waste fat from the UK food industry.

We expect these new buses to result in a 50% reduction in pollutants, greatly reducing the environmental impact of the service. As well as benefiting the environment, you can also take advantage of free WiFi whilst on board and there is a dedicated team of specially trained Unibus drivers behind the wheels.

For buses between the University of Kent, Canterbury West Rail Station and Hales Place, see the Route 26 timetable.

All the above are effective from 22 September 2013

If you only travel to university occaisionally you can buy a daily or weekly ticket for travel on Unibus, the Triangle or route 26 between the University and the rail stations/bus station only.

For 1 day's travel, ask for a Uniday ticket    - £2.70

For 7 days' travel, ask for a Uniweek ticket - £8.00

Please be aware that an academic year Unirider works out at less than £4.25* a week so a Unirider could still be the best value option even if you are a part-time student.

Uniday and Uniweek can only be used between the University and city centre so
a Unirider could again be the best value if you need/want to travel anywhere else.
