Next stop Barnsley for young volunteers
A group of young volunteers from across Britain and beyond will be on the move in Barnsley thanks to leading bus operator Stagecoach Yorkshire. Stagecoach has donated free monthly bus passes to a total of 17 volunteers who will be based in the town during the summer as part of a six-month cross-cultural ‘Global Xchange’ programme.

Bus service improvements set to be introduced to the Barnsley and Dearne Valley by Stagecoach
Leading bus operator Stagecoach Yorkshire is introducing a number of improvements to services across Barnsley and the Dearne Valley. Passengers are to benefit from a review of services, which will see more routes operated by low floor easy access buses, extra journeys on the network’s busiest routes, boundary changes to extend the reach of saver tickets and refined timetables for improved punctuality.
