Your concessionary pass, available from your relevant local authority, will normally entitle you to FREE travel on Stagecoach buses across England after 9.30am until 11pm on weekdays and all day at weekends and on Bank Holidays. Simply place your card photo side up on the ticket machine and your journey will be recorded electronically.
What if my card doesn’t work?
If there is a problem, the smartcard reader will show an error message. The driver will check this message and your card and then explain what happens next. If the driver thinks that the error is because there is a fault with your card, they will issue a ticket manually and suggest that you request a replacement pass from your local council. Your card has an electronic chip, which may have become damaged. You can help look after your card by storing it away from other cards with electronic chips in them.
Please see below for more frequently asked questions or contact your district council if you require further information.
