To make sure that it's you, we'll usually need you to show your student photo ID when using your Student bus pass . This it to check the same name is used for both and that you’re eligible to have a discounted student pass

If you can’t show your ID to our staff when asked, we're sorry but your StagecoachSmart student card may be confiscated. You’ll also unfortunately have to pay the full fare for each journey until you’re details can be updated
It's worth noting that acceptable student ID varies between Stagecoach regions, check the t&cs when buying your ticket.

- West Scotland - NUS card, relevant College/University ID
- East Scotland - College/University card, TOTUM card, NUS extra, International student ID
- North East - NUS card, College/University card, photographic Student ID

- Manchester - Any photographic student ID
- Merseyside and South Lancashire - College/University ID, NUS card
- Yorkshire - NUS card, TOTUM card, NUS Apprentice card
- Midlands - University ID
- East Midlands - College/University ID
- South Wales - College/University ID, mytravelpass (where necessary)
- South - NUS card, College/University ID
