Two companies in Skegness have partnered up to present the first New Year babies, and their parents, with special gifts to welcome them into the world.

Stagecoach East Midlands are sponsoring two hampers from new shop Gill&Co Baby Gifts. The presents will be given to the first two babies born in 2017 at Pilgrim Hospital, Boston.

Stagecoach East Midlands have also donated two of the popular Seasider books to each hamper: Rocky the Seasider Saves Teddy’s Holiday and The Seasiders Save Christmas.

Michelle Hargreaves, Managing Director of Stagecoach East Midlands, said: “We are delighted to sponsor the baby hampers from Gill&Co Baby Gifts. The Skegness Seasiders are extremely popular with the local community, especially children, and the books will therefore be a great addition to the hamper.”

“We welcome the opportunity to connect with local businesses in Skegness and support new retailers like Gill&Co Baby Gifts. The hampers are a wonderful idea and a great welcome gift for the New Year babies.”

Gill&Co Baby Gifts opened on 1st November 2016 and sell an array of gifts including baby baskets, hampers, toys and nappy cakes.

Coralle Bowman, owner of Gill&Co Baby Gifts, said: “I’m delighted that Stagecoach East Midlands are sponsoring the hampers. We want to celebrate the first two special new arrivals and to give their families some lovely baby gifts.”

“I was keen to get Stagecoach East Midlands and their Seasiders involved as they have such a strong community presence and are recognised and loved by the people of Skegness.”
