Stagecoach East Midlands today launched its £1m new fleet of 6 state of the art Humber Fastcat buses connecting Scunthorpe, Barton and Hull.
The Fastcat 350 service travels between Scunthorpe, Winterton, Winteringham, Ferriby Sluice, South Ferriby, Barton, and Hull seven days a week. Buses run every thirty minutes Monday to Saturday, with six journeys on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Each bus features a different cat character; Marmalade, Tiddles, Moggy, Tabby and Fluffy. All six of the buses include comfortable leather seats, USB charging points, CCTV and provide easy access for luggage, buggies and wheelchair users.
The Fastcat service enables people along the route to ‘Catch the Cat’ for their daily commute, a day out, or a shopping excursion. Leaving the car at home and avoiding the stress of driving and parking allows passengers to sit back, relax and enjoy making more of their free time.
The introduction earlier this year of late evening journeys between Barton and Hull makes the Fastcat the perfect choice for the journey home if staying out late over the festive season.
Jon Donnelly, Stagecoach East Midlands, says “We want our passengers to have the very best customer experience and catching the cat provides them with a high level of comfort coupled with the convenience of frequent services from early until late seven days a week.”
