In line with the latest government guidance, we've put in place further measures in England to help customers practice social distancing. This includes limiting the available seats on buses.
Face coverings are compulsory when using public transport in England and Scotland. In Wales you must wear a 3 layer face covering on public transport and put it on before travelling unless you are exempt. It is also now compulsory to wear face coverings when using indoor public transport hubs in England only.
The safety of our customers and employees is our priority, so please avoid busy times, use contactless payment and take your litter with you. For up to date information see our Coronavirus page

Stagecoach East Midlands is delighted to announce the launch of a new look to Lincoln’s bus services and a major £3 million investment in new buses to mark the opening of the city’s new Transport Hub from Sunday 28 January 2018.
The Simplibus concept has already been successfully introduced to urban bus services in Grimsby and Hull where it has been especially welcomed by new bus users who find the simple route numbers, frequent timetables and colour coded services much easier to understand.
In readiness for the opening of the Transport Hub, Stagecoach introduced six brand new modern double decker buses to InterConnect 100, which runs into Lincoln from Gainsborough and Scunthorpe on an hourly frequency. These will shortly be followed by the delivery of ten new accessible single decker buses, which will go into service from the start of February and will be allocated to bus services operating within the city.
All the new buses have the latest environmentally friendly Euro 6 engines, comfortable luxury high backed e-leather seats and handy USB charging points for use during the journey.
Managing Director for Stagecoach East Midlands, Michelle Hargreaves, said:
“This is a huge £3 million investment by Stagecoach in brand new buses for our Simplibus services for Lincoln. With buses running up to every 10, 15 and 20 minutes along the busiest routes and great value fares including unlimited bus travel from just £1.45 per day with our online Megarider Xtra there’s never been a better time to try travelling by bus in Lincoln.”
On the morning of Monday 29 January 2018 Stagecoach will be offering free breakfasts to their commuter customers in the Transport Hub to celebrate the launch of the Simplibus services. There will also be free morning coffee and cake for Stagecoach customers travelling after peak time.
