Launch of Interconnect Bus Walks at Gunby Hall on 18th marked with family fun event and walks lead by National Trust and Lincolnshire Ramblers
The Interconnect Bus Walks were launched at a fun event at Gunby Hall, with walking enthusiasts and families coming together to enjoy the sunshine. Games and competitions were held at the Hall, while walks were led by the National Trust and the Lincolnshire Ramblers.
The Interconnect Bus Walks initiative offers seven rambles across Lincolnshire, suitable for different ages and abilities, all accessible by the Interconnect bus service.
The Mayor of Skegness Sid Dennis, volunteers for the Wolds AONB team, and members of the Ramblers attended the event, to mark the launch of the project which involved Stagecoach East Midlands, Lincolnshire County Council, North East Lincolnshire Council, East Lindsey District Council, Love Lincolnshire Wolds, National Trust, West Lindsey County Council and the Lincolnshire Ramblers.
Matt Cranwell, Managing Director, Stagecoach East Midlands said: “We are delighted to have officially launched the Interconnect Bus Walks, and look forward to seeing people use the service to enjoy the routes. We hope to encourage more people to get active and explore the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside.
The walks have been specifically designed to encourage people of all ages and abilities to enjoy the outdoors. Walking Guides will be available online and on-board the buses running Interconnect 53, 56 and 100 services.
