Stagecoach East Midlands today announced it will be offering a special £1 flat fare to help late night Christmas shoppers make the most of the festive season.
Late night shopping kicks off in Lincoln on November 28, when participating shops will be open throughout the city until 8pm.
Passengers will be able to take advantage of Stagecoach East Midlands’ exclusive £1 fare on any of their Lincoln Town services that run after 6pm on the following late night shopping dates:
Matt Cranwell, Managing Director of Stagecoach East Midlands, said: “We are thrilled to offer our customers a special £1 bus fare when travelling to Lincoln’s late night shopping events. We hope to encourage more people to take the bus into town to do their Christmas shopping, which will also help the environment by reducing congestion.
“We look forward to welcoming shoppers on board our buses and hope everyone enjoys the upcoming festivities.”
Passengers will be able to make the most of the late night shopping season without the hassle of parking in the busy town centre. Those travelling to the late night shopping events in Lincoln can take advantage of the following services:
These late night services will enable passengers from Ermine Estates to travel to and from the city centre or the Bailgate shopping area. They will also provide convenient access for those travelling between the city centre and the Bailgate so shoppers can avoid walking up and down Steep Hill to move between the two shopping areas.
The special £1 bus fare will also be valid on other late night services, for passengers travelling to Birchwood, Doddington Park and North Hykeham.
