Bus operator,
Stagecoach has announced a new Assistant Operations Manager for two of its Fife
based depots. Graeme Muir, has taken on the position of Assistant Operations
Manager, for the company's Aberhill and St Andrews depots.
Originally from Montrose,
Graeme began his career in the transport industry with Stagecoach Strathtay in
2008 and was based at the former Montrose Depot. In 2010, he moved to Edinburgh
and joined WJC Buses as a driver before returning home to Montrose to work at M
W Nicoll as a private hire driver. After a few years of driving, Graeme
progressed as an Assistant Transport Manager gaining his International CPC
licence in November 2014.
Graeme will primarily
be based at the Stagecoach depot in St Andrews, which operates a fleet of 25
buses and around 60 drivers.
Graeme Muir said: "I am excited
to be back with Stagecoach and taking on the role of Assistant Operations
Manager at both Aberhill and St Andrews depots. I'm settling in and finding my feet and getting to know
everyone. It's a great place to start with a friendly bunch of staff!"
Graeme has already
been involved in the recent launch of the brand new Plaxton Elite coaches
operating from St Andrews to Edinburgh on X58 and X60 routes. The luxury
coaches were showcased at two launch events in St Andrews and Kirkcaldy on
Friday 13th November. The 12 new vehicles represent a £3.12m investment and are
the newest addition to the Stagecoach Express Network serving St Andrews, Leven, Kirkcaldy, Dalgety Bay, Ferrytoll Park &
Ride and Edinburgh.
