Andrew Jarvis, Managing Director, Stagecoach East Scotland said: “Everyone loves a bargain, so we are delighted to be launching these megarider ticket offers for February and March. Our online megarider tickets already offer even better value compared to buying tickets on the bus every day or every week and these promotions will not only make it exceptional value to travel by bus, but will give our customers a chance to try out better value, longer term megarider tickets.”
“This sale from 1 February follows on from another offer we had in place during January for half price tickets to Edinburgh from two park and ride sites in Fife, as well as an offer for under 19 year olds to benefit from unlimited travel in local town zones for just £2. Even more offers may be announced in the coming months too!"
Stagecoach has three times been independently found to have the best value bus fares in Britain.*
Last year Stagecoach East Scotland launched a new way to pay for megarider tickets. Megarider Xtra tickets can now be ordered online, paid by direct debit and issued on a StagecoachSmart card, an electonic card which stores the ticket purchased and is read by the company's ticket machines on board the bus. With automatic monthly payments, the customer's megarider ticket is loaded onto the card each month so there's no need to remember to buy a new one. The majority of longer term tickets (including 7 day tickets) are now issued onto a StagecoachSmart cards allowing customers to add more tickets when required, by buying online or by paying the bus driver.
