Stagecoach announces new Perth evening weekend journeys

03 Aug 2017

Stagecoach East Scotland, in conjunction with Perth and Kinross Council, have announced an extension to a number of bus timetables in Perth, providing additional evening journeys.

The development will include extra journeys to and from Perth city centre on Friday and Saturday evenings from Friday 28 July 2017.
The new journeys will provide essential links between rural and urban communities for late night weekend travel, improving access for customers wishing to visit the diverse evening entertainment options available in Perth.

The additional Friday and Saturday night routes will offer links between Perth (city centre bus station) and multiple towns across the Perthshire area including Errol, Invergowrie, Auchterarder, Blackford, Pitlochry, Aberfeldy, Luncarty, Dunkeld, Ballinluig, Bridge of Earn, Glenfarg, Kinross, Alyth, Blairgowrie and Coupar Angus.

In total, 9 extra journeys per day (Friday and Saturday only) will operate to/from Perth. A dedicated bus guide to getting around Perth and Kinross on Friday and Saturday nights has been complied and circulated by Stagecoach, aiding customers who may not be regular commuters requiring further route information.

Douglas Robertson, Commercial Director, Stagecoach East Scotland said: "We're delighted to be adding some new journeys in the evenings to a number of our local routes. I hope that the addition of these trips allows more people within the communities we serve to enjoy a great night out in Perth, a city with so much to offer, all year round!"

Stagecoach have confirmed that all normal Stagecoach tickets can be used on the route, within the relevant ticket boundaries.
