In line with the latest government guidance, we've put in place further measures in England to help customers practice social distancing. This includes limiting the available seats on buses.

Face coverings are compulsory when using public transport in England and Scotland. In Wales you must wear a 3 layer face covering on public transport and put it on before travelling unless you are exempt. It is also now compulsory to wear face coverings when using indoor public transport hubs in England only.

Stagecoach East Scotland launch promotion with Glendoick Garden Centre

Stagecoach and Glendoick Garden Centre have announced a new promotion to encourage customers visiting Glendoick to get there by bus this month.

Glendoick Garden Centre are offering Stagecoach customers a free bowl of soup at the Garden Centre cafe with their bus ticket.

The promotion is valid Monday to Saturday and will run from Monday 16 October to Saturday 11 November. Stagecoach customers simply need to show their StagecoachSmart card or bus ticket on the day of travel to enjoy a free bowl of soup at the Garden Centre, which has something for everyone this coming month.  

Customers visiting Glendoick in the months of October and November can utilise the brand new children’s playground, which is open every day and the Christmas shop, showcasing the Garden Centre's most festive of products. In addition, the Glendoick Christmas Markets will also take place on Saturday 4 & Sunday 5 November, between 10am and 4pm.

The Stagecoach X8 service, which duplicates part of the Coastrider X7 route, operating between Perth, Dundee and Arbroath stops directly outside Glendoick Garden Centre, making it easy for customers to jump off the bus for a visit.

The X8 route provides an hourly link on Mondays to Saturdays between Perth and Arbroath, offering even more journeys between PRI, Perth city centre, Ninewells Hospital, Dundee city centre and Arbroath. This route is operated on a limited stop basis using low floor accessible double deck buses, providing a easy access travel option.

We hope this encourages people to jump on the bus over the next month and enjoy a lovely day out at the Garden Centre, with the added bonus of a free lunch!"

Heather Borderie, Glendoick Garden Centre's Operations Director said: "We are looking forward to welcoming customers to Glendoick and providing them with a warming bowl of our famous soup. There’s lots to see in the shop at this time of year and we also have a small display garden that is looking lovely and autumnal that customers can have a wander around."
