Coronavirus Update Close

In line with the latest government guidance, we've put in place further measures in England to help customers practice social distancing. This includes limiting the available seats on buses.

Face coverings are compulsory when using public transport in England and Scotland. In Wales you must wear a 3 layer face covering on public transport and put it on before travelling unless you are exempt. It is also now compulsory to wear face coverings when using indoor public transport hubs in England only.

The safety of our customers and employees is our priority, so please avoid busy times, use contactless payment and take your litter with you. For up to date information see our Coronavirus page

15 Oct 2018

  • Winner of Excellence in Travel Information and Marketing Award
  • JET 747 service was also shortlisted for the Improvements to Bus Services category

Stagecoach East Scotland was named winner of the award for Excellence in Travel Information and Marketing at the 2018 National Transport Awards.

The award recognises the campaigns and continued marketing promotions for the Express City Connect network.

The Express City Connect network operates high-quality coach services across Fife and into Edinburgh, Perth, Dundee, Aberdeen and Glasgow. Facilities such as leather seats, on board toilets, power sockets, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi have helped make the services an attractive alternative to the car. Combined with relevant and timely marketing campaigns, Stagecoach has achieving increased passenger numbers on the network.

The JET747 service, also operated by Stagecoach East Scotland, was shortlisted in the Improvements to Bus Services category at the 18th annual event held in London last week (Thursday 11 October).

Robert Andrew, Managing Director Stagecoach Scotland said: “Winning this award at such a high-profile event is a real testament to all of the hard work our marketing team do and their continued commitment to promoting our excellent services in East Scotland.

“With the introduction of new tickets and various new vehicles to the network, several marketing campaigns have been implemented and we’ve seen continual passenger growth across the East of Scotland. This is undoubtedly due in part to the quality and strength of our publicity materials and the efforts of our marketing team.”

The annual National Transport Awards are supported by the Department for Transport and celebrate local and national transport success. A total of 23 awards were presented across a range of categories, recognising excellence in transport delivery, travel information and marketing, innovation, walking and cycling, sustainable transport, bus and rail services and customer service.

Stagecoach East Scotland also recently announced that they are finalists for several awards at the upcoming UK Bus Awards this November. The accolades up for grabs include Top National Bus Depot for St Andrews, Top Shire Operator, New Horizons, Putting Passengers First, Sustained Marketing Excellence and Unsung Heroes Award.
