Bus operator Stagecoach East Scotland has confirmed the promotion of Marketing Manager Sarah Elliott to the role of Commercial Director from 1 August. Sarah takes over the role from Douglas Robertson, who was recently appointed as Managing Director.
Originally from Blairgowrie, Sarah began her career at Stagecoach in January 2007 as Marketing Assistant before taking on the role of Marketing Manager in 2008, initially covering both East and North Scotland regions. Sarah holds a BA (Hons) in Marketing and a Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing.
Having been responsible for numerous successful marketing campaigns, including the long running promotion of the Express City Connect network linking Fife to Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow, the dedication of Sarah and her marketing team has led to passenger growth, improved customer satisfaction and numerous industry accolades. The marketing team were winners of the award for Excellence in Travel Information and Marketing at the 2018 National Transport Awards. The award recognised the campaigns and continued marketing promotions for the Express City Connect network. Sarah was also part of the team who collected the award for Public Transport Operator of the Year at the 2019 Scottish Transport Awards.
Douglas Robertson, Managing Director for Stagecoach East Scotland said: "I'm really pleased to have Sarah move up to become Commercial Director.
