Following government announcements on the roadmap out of lockdown and plans to gradually restore greater normality to everyday lives, we're making plans to get more services back on the road, including school services from 8th March. 5 fantastic festive family events you won't want to miss!

If you’re looking for something fun to do this month which everyone can enjoy, we’ve got a great list of activities which are suitable for all.

  1. Light at the Museum Christmas Parade

    Scottish Fisheries Museum, Anstruther on 6 December from 1800 
    This event really does have something for everyone, with festive lamp-lit parades, a bouncy castle, bucking reindeer, science experiments and performances.

  2. Dementia friendly screening: Miracle on 34th Street

    Lochgelly Centre, Lochgelly on Thursday 12 December  at 1100 or 1400
    A relaxed screening of the original 1947 version of the film. Open to all but especially for people with dementia and their family, friends and carers.

  3. Silverburn Park Winter Festival
    Silverburn Park, Lundin Links, Leven on Sunday 22 December from 1100-1500
    Plenty to see and do, including a mini Christmas market, an alpaca petting zoo, carol singers and a mulled wine stand plus prizes for the best fancy dressed dog!

  4. Lochore Meadows Santa Festival

    Lochore Meadows, Lochgelly on Sunday 15 December from 1000
    The Loch Leven Santa Run and Lochore Santa Festival have 3 event distances to choose from – 7.5KM, 5km and 2.5km. There will also be market stalls and inflatables to enjoy.

  5. The Yard Christmas Marketplace
    The Yard, Perth on Sunday 15 December from 1200-1800
    Enjoy craft stalls from 25 makers in The Yard's indoor Market Place, as well as food traders, live acoustic performances, and a visit from Santa Claus and the Christmas Fairy. £3 entry for adults – children eat free!

    Go by bus: The Yard is just a short walk from Perth City Centre through South Inch. Express services X7 and X56 serve Perth as well as many local services.
