Stagecoach To Offer Unlimited Travel in East Scotland for £5

20 Nov 2019

  • Stagecoach offer Black Friday Weekend Deal for first time
  • The offer is valid from Friday 29 November until Sunday 1 December inclusive

Stagecoach has announced plans to offer their first Black Friday weekend deal where customers can travel anywhere in East Scotland for £5.  The offer will be valid from Friday 29 November until Sunday 1 December 2019.

The promotion is available all weekend, allowing customers to buy an East Scotland dayrider ticket which offers unlimited travel across Angus, Clackmannanshire, Dundee, Edinburgh, Fife, Forth Valley, Perthshire and into Glasgow and Aberdeen.  This means customers can enjoy a return trip across the East of Scotland, whether travelling locally or city to city, at a price significantly less than the train or fuel and parking charges for the day.

The offer aims to encourage more people to use public transport and to ditch the car for their shopping trips in the run up to the Christmas period.

The normal price of an East Scotland dayrider is £16, meaning customers can enjoy a huge saving this Black Friday weekend.  The ticket is available to buy from the driver (just ask for an East Scoltand dayrider or Black Friday dayrider), or will be available to buy and use on a mobile device, via the Stagecoach Bus app.

Douglas Robertson, Managing Director, Stagecoach East Scotland said: “We are proud to offer this exciting new promotion to our current customers and to encourage new users to try the bus through this initiative. We hope this offer makes people think differently about using the car to get across the region, or even just to their local shops this season. The increased congestion seen over the festive period and environmental impacts of using cars means we need to do everything we can to reduce the traffic on our roads at this busy time. This offer not only helps with air quality issues but also encourages more people to visit our high streets to enjoy in-store promotions over the Black Friday weekend.”
