  • £2 million invested in new vehicles for services between Haverhill and Cambridge.
  • New vehicles will be equipped with free Wi-Fi, extra legroom and comfy high back leather seats.

Stagecoach East announced today that the passengers between Haverhill and Cambridge will be able to travel in style on new, 5 star Gold branded buses. The Service 13 will join a select number of routes chosen to be upgraded to these high specification buses.

The Gold buses on Service 13 will operate every 15 minutes at peak times and every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday daytimes and hourly throughout most of the day on Sundays. The route connects Haverhill to Cambridge, with key stops at Linton, Abington and Addenbrooke’s Hospital.

The buses offer luxury as standard and feature extra legroom, high back comfy seats covered in environmentally sourced leather and free Wi-fi for passengers.

The buses will also be fitted with Scania Euro 5 engines with even lower emissions, making them amongst the most environmentally friendly vehicles on the road. Passengers can enjoy their journey, in comfort and style, knowing they are helping to reduce the carbon footprint across Cambridgeshire and Suffolk. Our team of regular, enthusiastic drivers will help you, whether it’s your first time travelling onboard or you often commute, and the touches of luxury will make a real difference.

Andy Campbell, Managing Director for Stagecoach East said “the Gold service further enhances the quality of public transport in Cambridgeshire”.
