Stagecoach Manchester supports 2015 Poppy Appeal

05 Nov 2015

Stagecoach Manchester is helping to support the 2015 Poppy Appeal and the Royal British Legion.

To mark the 2015 campaign, a number of the company’s buses across the region have had vinyl poppies fitted to them.

The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal helps to provide thousands of modern veterans, service men, women and their families with vital advice and support.

To help raise awareness of this year’s Poppy Appeal, poppies will be fitted to Stagecoach Manchester’s entire fleet of 794 buses. Stagecoach Group has also made a significant donation to the charity to ensure that poppies are provided for all drivers across the UK who wish to wear one.

Stagecoach Manchester managing director Christopher Bowles said: “Stagecoach Manchester is committed to help raise funds for such a worthy cause that is so important to many of our employees and passengers. As a business, we will continue to make donations to the Royal British Legion and raise awareness of the important work which the charity does.”

The Poppy Appeal activity follows the signing of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant in March this year by Stagecoach Group. The company has committed to support the Armed Forces Community by recognising the value of serving personnel, both regular and reservists, veterans and military families.
