Coronavirus Update Close

In line with the latest government guidance, we've put in place further measures in England to help customers practice social distancing. This includes limiting the available seats on buses.

Face coverings are compulsory when using public transport in England and Scotland. In Wales you must wear a 3 layer face covering on public transport and put it on before travelling unless you are exempt. It is also now compulsory to wear face coverings when using indoor public transport hubs in England only.

The safety of our customers and employees is our priority, so please avoid busy times, use contactless payment and take your litter with you. For up to date information see our Coronavirus page

Stagecoach Manchester Supports Armed Forces Day 2016

24 Jun 2016

Stagecoach Manchester is helping to support Armed Forces Day 2016 by offering free travel to personnel carrying a military ID card, and to veterans carrying a veteran’s badge, on Saturday 25th June.

Armed Forces Day is a chance for the public to show support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets.

With events planned across the Greater Manchester region, it is hoped that current and ex-service men and women will take up the offer to travel to the event of their choice using free Stagecoach Manchester services.

Stagecoach Manchester managing director, Chris Bowles, said; “We’re delighted to be showing support for the Armed Forces communities across Greater Manchester by providing free travel to military personnel, as we hope to be able to give a well-deserved thank you to our local troops.”

Last year, Stagecoach Group signed the Ministry of Defence’s Armed Forces Corporate Covenant in support of the Armed Forces Community. As a signatory of the Covenant, the company recognises the value serving personnel; regular and reservists, veterans and military families contribute to both the country and businesses across the country.
