Coronavirus Update Close

In line with the latest government guidance, we've put in place further measures in England to help customers practice social distancing. This includes limiting the available seats on buses.

Face coverings are compulsory when using public transport in England and Scotland. In Wales you must wear a 3 layer face covering on public transport and put it on before travelling unless you are exempt. It is also now compulsory to wear face coverings when using indoor public transport hubs in England only.

The safety of our customers and employees is our priority, so please avoid busy times, use contactless payment and take your litter with you. For up to date information see our Coronavirus page

Easter Bunnies Begin Fundraising Egg-stravaganza

13 Apr 2017

A group of Stagecoach Manchester drivers are going the egg-stra mile to raise money for charity this week.

Drivers from the Stockport depot will collect donations for Stagecoach Manchester’s charity of the year, Prevent Breast Cancer, by wearing Easter Bunny outfits while operating their services over the Easter period.

Money raised from the fundraising will go directly to support Prevent Breast Cancer, which undertakes ground-breaking research into the prediction and prevention of breast cancer, a disease which over 50,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with each year.

Stagecoach Manchester operations director Matt Kitchin, said: “Our drivers are always full of enthusiasm when it comes to raising money for charity, while our passengers and staff always give generously and the younger children will particularly enjoy seeing an Easter Bunny driving their bus!

“Hopefully we will help to put a smile on people’s faces while supporting a very valuable and worthwhile cause and we’d like to thank our passengers and staff for their ongoing generosity whenever we’re collecting for charity.”
