Eating out in Greater Manchester

21 May 2021

We’re buzzin’ that we no longer have to brave the infamous Manchester rain to eat out with friends and family. So with the return of indoor dining we are pleased to share with you just a few of the incredible places to eat in our region that you can get to by bus.

So, what are you in the mood for…?

If you’re heading into Manchester City Centre The Corn Exchange , opposite Manchester Arndale, is a great spot for lunch, or an evening meal. There’s a wide variety of dining options from Italian, Indian, German, PanAsian or Vietnamese – the choice is yours!

The Northern Quarter is also home to some of the best food in the city and if, like us, you have a sweet tooth, then look no further than one of Manchester best dessert restaurants, Black Milk. With a menu stacked with waffles, milkshakes and ice cream sundaes, need we say any more!?

It’s not just Manchester City Centre where you’ll find some fantastic food experiences. Chorlton is known for its great delis and fab independent bars and restaurants including The Laundrette, where the menu is locally sourced and made fresh in house daily. And with a menu based around cocktails and carbs, we’re in.

Or head out to Ashton-Under-Lyne to Lily’s Vegetarian Indian Restaurant; an award winning, family business founded in 1972. Everything at Lily’s is freshly prepared by their experienced chefs, so look no further for that authentic taste of India on your doorstep!

Stockport town centre also has a wide choice of places to eat and drink, by day or by night. Located opposite Stockport Market Hall, The Produce Hall offers a friendly and casual atmosphere for drinking and dining. The kitchens that wrap around the inviting, social space serve fresh, delicious food ranging from British classics to Spanish delicacies.

We’ve also got a number of discounts on eating out with Stagecoach Rewards

Please remember to check if venues require pre-booking before visiting.
