Stagecoach Manchester’s Operations Director, Rebecca Rathore was amongst this year’s winners at the 2023 routeone Awards. The awards, which took place this week (8 November) at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, celebrate excellence in the coach and bus industry.
Rebecca Rathore has been named Manager of the Year- large operator.
Rebecca has worked in transport for 22 years, starting with a Saturday job in a ticket office while she was at university rising to her current position as Operations Director at Stagecoach Manchester. As a key member of the leadership team Rebecca has operational responsibility for Stagecoach’s largest bus operation outside of London. This includes 1,800 operational colleagues, 700 buses, 96 million passenger journeys and 23.9 million miles of route.
Rebecca, who hails from Manchester, said: “I have such a strong passion for this industry so it’s a real honour to have won such a prestigious industry award. It is also testimony to my wonderful team at Stagecoach Manchester, and I’d like to thank them all for their hard-work and dedication.”
Earlier this year Rebecca was also named on the 2023 Northern Power Women’s Future List, which recognises leaders and change makers of the future and won the Customer / Passenger Leader Award at the 2023 Everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards.
