Coronavirus Update Close

Following government announcements on the roadmap out of lockdown and plans to gradually restore greater normality to everyday lives, we're making plans to get more services back on the road, including school services from 8th March. Please continue to check our latest timetables page for more information.

Let's keep working together to make travel as safe as possible. We're still doing enhanced cleaning and limiting available seats. You can help by avoiding busy times, using contactless payment where you can, keeping your distance and taking your litter with you.

You must wear a face covering throughout your journey, unless you are exempt.

Stagecoach plays cupid for Lancashire passengers

10 Feb 2015

Bus operator Stagecoach Merseyside and South Lancashire is celebrating Valentine’s Day with a special promotion for people in Lancashire.

To celebrate the season of love, the company is encouraging people to take a single bus journey this February by dropping off over 10,000 free single tickets across Lancashire.

The tickets will give people a free single journey on Stagecoach routes 109 and 113 which run from Preston to Chorleyvia Leyland for two weeks.

Elisabeth Tasker, managing director for Stagecoach Merseyside and South Lancashire, said: “We want to show our passengers how special they are to us this Valentine’s Day by offering them a free journey – we’re also looking to woo people who don’t usually use the bus and hopefully persuade them to give it a try!

“Getting the bus is a great way of meeting new people. All generations take the bus and are often looking to strike up a conversation to help pass the time. We’re hoping our special ‘#StagecoachSingles’ promotion might spark off a conversation and just give people a bit of laugh on Valentine’s Day. After all, you never know who you might meet on the bus!”
