Stagecoach Merseyside and South Lancashire is launching a new night bus from Liverpool to Chester.
The new service launches on Friday September 9th and will enable people living on Wirral, Ellesmere Port, and Chester to travel about more easily at night.
Stagecoach Merseyside and South Lancashire’s new night buses will be named the N1, and will follow the same route as the current number 1 daytime service.
The service will run every Friday and Saturday night with the last buses leaving as late as 3.05am.
The company will operate its luxurious Stagecoach Gold buses throughout the route. The fleet is fitted with audio CCTV as standard and people using the service won’t have to pay any more for night time journeys than they do in the day.
Elisabeth Tasker, managing director of Stagecoach Merseyside and South Lancashire said: “The N1 addresses a key need for people across Merseyside and Cheshire and we’re delighted to be extending our services and providing people with the means to travel about and enjoy themselveson a Friday and Saturday night.
“We’re confident this service will be highly popular and will enable people to get home from work or play comfortably and affordably on our luxury Stagecoach Gold buses”
The N1 is running as a trial as part of the Liverpool City Region Bus Alliance and will be reviewed in December 2016.
