Coronavirus Update Close

We know many of you will be looking for information for how lockdown will affect our services. We're working hard to keep our services running for essential journeys, however there may have been some changes to timetables in your area. Please check our latest timetables for more information.

We've put in place measures to allow you to travel safely including limiting available seats on buses and enhanced cleaning. Please avoid busy times, use contactless payment where you can, keep your distance and take your litter with you. You can keep up to date checking our main Coronavirus page.

You must wear a face covering throughout your journey, unless you are exempt. Find out more on our travelling safely pages for England, Wales and Scotland.

Meet our student ambassadors!

23 Nov 2017

We’re always looking for inspiration to keep writing brilliant content for the Stagecoach blog, and this year we decided to bring in some new recruits.

We hosted a competition to find some of the UK’s best student writers who are passionate about creating exciting, interesting and useful content for the Stagecoach blog. From brunch spots to productivity hacks, student life tips to travel advice, we’re really excited for what our ambassadors have to share about their student experiences.

We had some brilliant entries and it was very difficult to choose our winners, but we’re very excited to introduce Ailish, Tyla-Mae and Olivia who will be writing for us over the next year.

Here’s a little bit more about them…

Ailish Sinclair

“I’m a postgraduate student studying History at the University of Manchester after a two year break from study which I spent working and volunteering abroad. I love any and all extreme sports but my favourite is rugby. I play as much as possible in my spare time and as much as my body can sustain! I enjoy cooking and always like to challenge myself by buying something I’ve never cooked before and seeing what happens! I love being near the sea and I am a bit of a country bumpkin at heart, but I love the variety of things to do and see in Manchester, especially all the museums!”

Tyla-Mae Matthews

“Hi, my name is Tyla! I’m 18 years old and currently in my first year at university studying psychology (which means I can often be found crying into a textbook). I love travelling, photography, and, because I’m a student, procrastinating. My blog posts will centre on all things student related which I hope you will enjoy!”

'I have just finished a Master's in Neuroimaging for Clinical & Cognitive Neuroscience, having studied Psychology for my undergraduate degree. In my spare time, I enjoy playing table tennis, reading, learning languages and above all, travelling. I was born in Hong Kong but we moved to Vancouver when I was barely a year old and lived there for 2 years before moving to Manchester, which I'm proud to call my adopted home. So I clearly got the travelling bug as a toddler! I also find joy in learning new things and have recently found myself being occupied by various interests, including self-defence, coding and juggling (or trying to at least!).'
